Taylor and Jared’s Intimate Backyard Wedding

When I asked Taylor and Jared, a week before their wedding, how they were feeling about all the changes (thanks covid-19), they were remarkably chill.

They loved each other, wanted to be married and were willing to do whatever it took. They had swapped out their big hotel wedding plans with an intimate backyard ceremony, and it was, truly, a dream.

It was the most relaxed wedding that I have ever been a part of, which was and is a tremendous gift. They laid out masks and hand sanitizer alongside their single-serve pizza boxes and made it pandemic-appropriate.

It rained, so they set up a tent. We had a 20 minute dry window, and so they fit their ceremony into it. I liked their pretty white garage door, and so they got out rags and wiped it down for me while in their wedding clothes. During their first-look prayer, a guy shouted loud encouragement at them from his car window. Again and again they rolled with the punches and adapted to the crazy with a huge, non-stop smile upon their faces.

They prioritized family, and the best of their friends, with a wedding schedule that allowed time with each and every one of them.

A global pandemic slimmed down their day to what truly, actually matters: one another and their life-long commitment of I do.

It was simple. It was beautiful. It was sacred. It was one to remember.

Their sweet, newlywed love was a honour to capture and document.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wirth!
